EST signs agreement with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Übersetzungs- und Dolmetschwissenschaft (DGÜD)
The protocol of understanding recognizes the common aims and interests of the two organizations.
The DGÜD has as its goals to strengthen the scientific status of Translation and Interpreting Studies, and to promote the discipline in the social, political, economic, scientific and technical contexts on both the national and international levels.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Heidrun Gerzymisch, President of the DGÜD, and Dr. Anthony Pym, President of the EST, on June 6, 2011. It opens the way for exchanges of information and reciprocal attendance at conferences.
