The EST announces the winner of its 2014 Summer School Scholarship

The European Society for Translation Studies has selected Paweł Korpal as the winner of its 2014 Summer School Scholarship.

Paweł Korpal is a doctoral student at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. His research project is A psychological profile of an interpreter: Stress management, willingness to take risks, extra-/introversion and is supervised by Dr. Agnieszka Chmiel. The winner will receive 1,000 euros to attend the FTI Research Methods Summer School in Geneva.

This year the Summer School Scholarship Committee was composed of Barbara Ahrens, Alexandra Assis Rosa, Maria Piotrowska, Franz Pöchhacker, Sonia Vandepitte and Iwona Mazur as chair.

The committee received and carefully evaluated nine applications, representing various branches of Translation Studies, including Bible translation, literary translation, interpreting, and process-oriented translation research.
