The EST announces the winner of its 2016 Summer School Scholarship

The European Society for Translation Studies has selected İnci Sarız-Bilge as the winner of its 2016 Summer School Scholarship.

İnci is a doctoral student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the United States. Her research project is The Nexus of Ideology, Ethics, and Translation in Turkey (1990s-Present) and is being supervised by Professor Edwin Gentzler. She will receive 1,000 euros to attend the CETRA Summer School 2016 in Antwerp, Belgium.

The committee received and carefully evaluated nine applications this year, representing branches of Translation Studies including Bible translation, sign language translation, cultural translation, interpreting, and process-oriented translation research.
