The 2013 EST Event Grant has been given to two outstanding candidates:
“Translation and Cinema” taking place in Lviv, Ukraine, on 13-14 March 2014, organized by the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
“Media for All 5” taking place in Dubrovnik on 25-27 September 2013, organized by the Croatian Association of Audiovisual Translators, Transmedia Research Group, and the University of Zagreb.
Each candidate will receive financial assistance of up to 1000 euros.
There were eight candidates for the EST Event Grant. While all were considered of importance for the TS community, the two winners were selected on the basis of both need and excellence. The Event Grant Committee stated that these particular events were of importance because they will take place in countries that “should be helped into the mainstream”.
