The European Society for Translation Studies has selected Juho Suokas of the University of Eastern Finland as the winner of its 2015 Summer School Scholarship.
Juho’s research project is on the “Practical Application of Usability Methods in Translation” and is supervised by Riitta Jääskeläinen and Kaisa Koskinen.
The winner will receive 1,000 euros to attend Emuni Agricola International Translation Studies Summer School.
This year the Summer School Scholarship Committee comprised Barbara Ahrens, Alexandra Assis Rosa, Franz Pöchhacker, Esther Torres-Simon (secretary) and Sonia Vandepitte. The committee received and carefully evaluated six applications, which were from various branches of translation studies, including interpreting and literary studies.
