The Board meet in Germersheim on 9 December 2011, first in closed session and then with the organizing committee of the 2013 EST Congress.
Highlights from the Board’s meeting:

EST Treasurer Sonia Vandepitte reported that the membership has grown by almost 30% in the past year.

It was decided to offer a three-year membership (for all the members who forget to pay each year).

The official languages of the 2013 Germersheim conference will be English and German (as a solution to a problem that has no good solutions).

In session with the Germersheim organizing committee, the Board also agreed on the Scientific Committee for the Seventh Congress and the organization of presentations in terms of semi-autonomous sessions or panels. The Board was shown the superb installations that the Germersheim faculty offers for the staging of the congress.
